It is important to get enough sleep! Lack of sufficient sleep can lead to reduced memory, focus, concentration and reaction time
According to this article “About 40 percent of Americans say they get fewer than seven hours of sleep on weekdays, and most — 71 percent — get fewer than eight hours of sleep, according to a 2005 survey by the National Sleep Foundation”
Eve Van Cauter, a professor of medicine at the University of Chicago, published a study in 1999, that involved 11 healthy young males sleeping only four hours a day; after 6 days the subjects where in a pre-diabetic state.
So, make sure you get enough sleep! Go to bed early If you need to wake up early.

Here is someone who doesn’t need Snoozester to wake him up! Thai Ngoc hasn’t slept in over 3 decades. “Sixty-four-year-old Thai Ngoc, known as Hai Ngoc, said he could not sleep at night after getting a fever in 1973, and has counted infinite numbers of sheep during more than 11,700 consecutive sleepless nights.” What’s interesting is that he is pretty healthy and normal!

Drowsiness at work can hurt productivity . According to this article, a 2005 survey by the National Sleep Foundation found that 26 percent of adults get a good night’s sleep only a few nights a month or less. Another 24 percent say they get a good night’s sleep only a few nights a week. This has lead to increased sleepiness at work.
It is important to get enough sleep for physical and emotional health; this page describes good strategies for getting enough sleep (decreasing the amount of light and noise, going to bed at the same time each night, ect.)
